Getting There

    If you are traveling by car, from the center of Shinano, head south on Route 18 towards Nagano City. After approximately 15 km, take the exit toward Obuse. Follow the signs to Obuse and continue on Route 403. After about 5 km, turn left onto Karida Road. Jokoji will be on your left at 676 Karida, Obuse. There is parking available on-site.

    To reach Jokoji using public transportation, start at the Shinano Station. Take the Nagano Electric Railway to Obuse Station. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Obuse Station, you can take a local bus towards Karida or a taxi. If taking the bus, ask the driver for the stop nearest to Jokoji, which is about a 10-minute ride. The temple is a short walk from the bus stop.
