    From Shinano, take Route 403 heading south. Continue on Route 403 for approximately 15 km until you reach Obuse. Once in Obuse, follow the signs to Hokusai Museum. The museum is located at 485 Obuse, which is on your right-hand side. Parking is available near the museum, but may incur a small fee, so be prepared with some cash.

    Start at the nearest bus stop or train station in Shinano. Take the Nagano Dentetsu Line train towards Nagano Station and get off at Obuse Station. This journey will take about 30 minutes. From Obuse Station, exit the station and walk towards the main road. You can take a local bus (check the local schedule) or walk to the Hokusai Museum, which is approximately a 20-minute walk of about 1.5 km. Follow the signs leading to the museum as you walk.
