Car
If you are driving to Gansho-in from central Shinano, head southeast on Route 18. After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit toward Route 292. Continue on Route 292 for about 6 kilometers, and then turn left onto Route 406. After about 2 kilometers, Gansho-in will be on your right at 615 Karida, Obuse. Parking is available on-site.

To reach Gansho-in using public transportation, first take a local bus from Shinano Station to Obuse Station. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes and costs approximately 500 yen. From Obuse Station, you can either take a taxi (which costs about 1,500 yen) directly to Gansho-in or catch a local bus that will drop you off near the temple. Make sure to check the bus schedule as they may not run frequently.
