If you are driving from central Shinano, head south on Route 117. Follow the signs toward Iiyama City and take the exit for Route 403 towards Madarao Kogen. Continue on Route 403 for approximately 12 km. Look for signs directing you to Numanohara Wetlands. There is a designated parking area once you arrive.

To reach Numanohara Wetlands via public transport, take the Nagano Electric Railway from Shinano Station to Iiyama Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. From Iiyama Station, board the Nagaden Bus heading to Madarao. The bus ride will take around 20 minutes. Get off at the Numanohara bus stop.
