Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Suruga. Take Route 1 towards Kakegawa. Continue for about 30 km until you reach Kakegawa City. Once in Kakegawa, follow the signs for Awaga Dake. The address is 1050-1 Higashiyama, Kakegawa, Shizuoka. There is parking available at the base of the mountain, but be aware that parking may incur a small fee of around 500 yen.

For those using public transportation, take the JR Tōkaidō Line from Suruga Station to Kakegawa Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once at Kakegawa Station, exit the station and take bus number 30 towards Higashiyama. Alight at the Awaga Dake bus stop, which is the closest stop to the hiking area. The bus fare is approximately 500 yen. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips as they may not be frequent.
