Car
If you're traveling by car, start from central Suruga and head west on Route 1. Continue on Route 1 for about 30 kilometers until you reach Kakegawa. Once in Kakegawa, look for signs directing you to Yasaka. Take a right on Yasaka Street and follow it for about 3 kilometers. Kotono Mamahachimangu will be on your left at 642 Yasaka. There is parking available near the shrine, but it can get busy on weekends.

Public Transportation - Train
To reach Kotono Mamahachimangu via public transport, first take the JR Tokaido Line from Suruga Station to Kakegawa Station. This journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Upon arriving at Kakegawa Station, exit the station and take a taxi to Kotono Mamahachimangu, which is about a 10-minute ride and should cost around 1,500 to 2,000 yen.

Alternatively, from Kakegawa Station, you can take a local bus. Look for the bus stop at the station and take the bus heading to Yasaka. The bus ride will take about 20-30 minutes. Get off at the Yasaka bus stop, which is a short walk from Kotono Mamahachimangu. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited, especially on weekends.
