    From Zao Onsen, head southeast on Route 286. After approximately 20 km, you will arrive in Obanazawa. Follow signs for Ginzan Onsen, turning onto Route 47. Continue for about 10 km, following the road signs. The hot spring area is located in Ginzanshinhata, Obanazawa, Yamagata. Parking is available near the hot spring, but be aware that it may require a small fee.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Zao Onsen, take the local bus towards Yamagata Station. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Yamagata Station, transfer to a bus bound for Ginzan Onsen. The journey from Yamagata Station to Ginzan Onsen takes approximately 1 hour. Buses may not run frequently, so it is advisable to check the schedule ahead of time. The fare for the bus from Yamagata Station to Ginzan Onsen is around 1,000 yen.

  • Public Transportation (Train and Bus)

    From Zao Onsen, take a bus to Yamagata Station (about 30 minutes). At Yamagata Station, board the JR Ou Line train towards Sakata. Get off at the Oishida Station, which is about a 30-minute train ride. From Oishida Station, catch a local bus to Ginzan Onsen, which takes around 20 minutes. The train fare from Yamagata to Oishida is approximately 600 yen, and the local bus fare from Oishida to Ginzan Onsen is around 500 yen.
