Car
From Zao Onsen, head northeast on Route 457 towards Sendai. Follow the signs for Sendai and continue on Route 457 for approximately 30 km. Merge onto the Sendai-Miyagi Interchange and take the exit toward Aoba Ward. Continue straight until you reach Otamayashita. Zuihōden is located at 23-2 Otamayashita, Aoba Ward, Sendai, Miyagi 980-0814. Parking is available near the site, but be aware that parking fees may apply.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Zao Onsen, take the Zao Onsen bus to the nearest major station, which is the Sendai Station. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes. At Sendai Station, transfer to the city bus (No. 1 or No. 2) towards Zuihōden, which is approximately a 15-minute ride. The bus will drop you off near the entrance to Zuihōden. Be sure to check the bus schedules beforehand, as they can vary.

From Zao Onsen, take the local bus to the closest train station, which is Shiroishi-Zao Station. This bus ride takes about 30 minutes. From Shiroishi-Zao Station, take the JR Tohoku Line to Sendai Station, which takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Sendai Station, switch to a city bus (No. 1 or No. 2) towards Zuihōden for another 15-minute ride. The total cost for this route will include bus and train fares, so be prepared to pay approximately 1,500 to 2,000 yen total for the journey.
