Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Jordan Pond area, begin by walking south on the Jordan Pond Path until you reach the intersection with the Park Loop Road. Turn left onto Park Loop Road and continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with the Northeast Harbor Road. Here, you will see signs pointing towards Northeast Harbor. Turn right onto Northeast Harbor Road and continue for about 1.5 miles. You will reach a fork in the road; stay to the left to continue on to Thuya Drive. After about 0.3 miles, you will see the entrance to Thuya Garden on your right.

  • Walking

    If you are at the Acadia National Park Visitor Center, start by heading southeast on the Eagle Lake Road. Walk for about 0.7 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 233. Turn left onto Route 233 and continue for about 1.1 miles. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Northeast Harbor. When you reach the junction with the Park Loop Road, turn right. Follow the road for about 0.4 miles, then turn onto Thuya Drive. Continue straight for about 0.2 miles, and you will find Thuya Garden on your left.

    From the Cadillac Mountain area, take the Cadillac Summit Road down towards the Park Loop Road. Once you reach Park Loop Road, turn left and continue walking for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Route 233. Turn right onto Route 233 and walk for 0.5 miles. Look for signs directing you to Northeast Harbor and turn right onto Thuya Drive. After walking for about 0.3 miles, you will see Thuya Garden on your right.
