Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Jordan Pond House, head south on the Jordan Pond Path. Continue along the path, enjoying the scenic views of the pond and surrounding mountains. After about 1 mile, you will reach a junction. Here, take the left path towards the Bubbles Mountains. Follow this path for another half mile until you reach the intersection with the Park Loop Road. At this point, turn left onto Park Loop Road and continue walking for approximately 0.5 miles. You will see signs for Suminsby Park. Follow the signs until you reach the entrance.

Biking
Starting from the Acadia National Park Visitor Center, rent a bike and head towards the Park Loop Road. Once on Park Loop Road, bike for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Suminsby Park. There will be signage indicating the direction. Turn right and bike for another 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance of Suminsby Park. This route offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes, so take your time and enjoy the ride!

Public Transportation
From Bar Harbor, take the Island Explorer Shuttle, which operates during the summer months. Board the shuttle at any designated stop and route towards the Park Loop Road. Get off at the 'Sand Beach' stop. From there, walk along the Park Loop Road, heading west for about 1 mile until you see signs for Suminsby Park. The entrance will be on your left. Make sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance for your return trip.
