Breathtaking Vistas at Viewpoint Chamarel

Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the center of Le Morne. Head east on the main road, Route Coastal. Walk for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route Chamarel. At this intersection, you will see signs pointing towards Chamarel. Turn left onto Route Chamarel and continue walking for approximately 4 kilometers. Along this route, you will experience beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. As you approach Chamarel, keep an eye out for roadside signs directing you to Viewpoint Chamarel. After about 4 kilometers, you will arrive at the entrance to Viewpoint Chamarel, where you will find the designated car park.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From Le Morne, locate the nearest bus stop along Route Coastal. Take a local bus heading towards Chamarel. The bus ride should take approximately 30 minutes. Inform the driver you wish to get off at Viewpoint Chamarel. Once you disembark, follow the signs leading to the viewpoint, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. You will arrive at the car park area where you can enjoy the stunning views.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Le Morne. Once you have your bicycle, head east on Route Coastal. Continue cycling for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route Chamarel. Turn left onto Route Chamarel and cycle for another 4 kilometers. The ride is relatively easy and offers beautiful scenery. Upon reaching the Viewpoint Chamarel, you can park your bike at the designated area near the viewpoint.
