Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're in the center of Mahebourg, head towards the coastal road (Coastal Road). Walk south along the waterfront until you reach the junction with Rue des Habitants. Continue straight on Coastal Road for approximately 5 kilometers. You will pass by local shops and beautiful views of the lagoon. The World Of Seashells will be on your right, just before reaching Place du Moulin. Look out for the sign on the building.

  • Public Bus

    From Mahebourg, head to the main bus terminal located at the center of town. Take the bus heading towards Bel Ombre; the ride will take around 20-30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to the World Of Seashells. Once you get off, walk back along Coastal Road for about 5 minutes, and the museum will be on your left.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride along the coastal road. Start from the center of Mahebourg and head south along Coastal Road. This route is fairly flat and scenic, taking you directly to the World Of Seashells. It should take around 20-30 minutes depending on your speed. Look out for the museum on your right as you approach Place du Moulin.
