The Sentinela Spring, built in 1896, has a rich history, having been named after a minister of agriculture of the Austro-Hungarian Empire before being renamed in honor of a patriotic cultural society. The park also features a statuary group with busts of prominent Romanian cultural figures.While in the area, take note of the Cazinoul (Casino), a historical monument built in 1896 that once served as a casino, concert hall, and workers' club.
