Getting There

Hiking
From the Many Glacier area, head south on the Swiftcurrent Trail. Continue along the trail until you reach the junction with the Lower Bertha Falls Trail. Turn left at the junction and follow the trail signs. The hike is approximately 2 miles and will take you through beautiful forested areas and alongside the creek. Listen for the sound of rushing water as you approach the falls. The trail will lead you directly to Lower Bertha Falls, where you can enjoy the scenic view.

Biking
If you're near the Lake McDonald area, rent a bike from one of the local outfitters. Start at the Lake McDonald Lodge and head east on the Going-to-the-Sun Road. After about 3 miles, look for the sign for the trailhead to Lower Bertha Falls on your left. Park your bike in the designated area and take the hiking trail from there, which is well-marked. The hike is about 1 mile and will take you directly to the falls.

Shuttle Service
Utilize the park's shuttle service, which operates during the peak season. Board the shuttle at the Apgar Visitor Center and ask the driver to drop you off at the Lower Bertha Falls trailhead. The shuttle provides a convenient way to access various locations within the park without needing a car. The trailhead is only a short walk from the drop-off point, and you will find clear signs directing you to the falls.
