Car
From the eastern side of Montana, such as Billings or Miles City, take I-90 W toward Missoula. Once in Missoula, take US-93 N to Polson. From Polson, follow MT-35 N along the east shore of Flathead Lake to Kalispell. Continue on US-2 W from Kalispell to West Glacier, the main entrance to Glacier National Park. The distance from Billings to Glacier is approximately 400 miles, which can take around 6-7 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Note that there may be tolls or gas expenses along the way.

Start by taking a bus from your current location in Eastern Montana to Missoula using Greyhound or another regional service. Once in Missoula, transfer to a shuttle service like the Glacier Park Shuttle, which operates during the summer months. This shuttle will take you directly to various points in Glacier National Park, including the West Glacier entrance. The bus fare may vary, but typically ranges from $40-$80 one way, while shuttle fares can be around $30-$50 depending on your destination within the park.

If you're traveling from a significant distance, consider flying into Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) in Kalispell. From Eastern Montana, you would first need to drive or take a bus to a larger airport like Billings Logan International Airport (BIL) or Missoula International Airport (MSO). From there, book a direct flight to FCA. After arriving at the airport, rent a car or use a shuttle service to reach the park, which is about 30 miles from the airport.
