If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Gosaikunda. Head southwest on the main road towards Dhunche. Continue for approximately 6.5 kilometers until you reach the fork in the road. Take a left turn towards Kathmandu, and follow the road for about 70 kilometers. As you approach Kathmandu, keep an eye out for the signs pointing towards Basantapur. Once in Basantapur, look for Layaku Marg. The Taleju Bhawani Temple is located on Layaku Marg, and you can park your car nearby.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by finding a local bus or jeep service from Gosaikunda to Dhunche. The fare is typically around NPR 200-300. Once in Dhunche, transfer to a bus heading to Kathmandu. The bus ride will cost you approximately NPR 600-800 and takes about 3-4 hours. Upon reaching Kathmandu, ask the driver or locals for directions to Basantapur. From there, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to Layaku Marg where the temple is located.

If you're already in Basantapur, you can easily walk to the Taleju Bhawani Temple. Start at the main square and head towards the direction of the old royal palace. Layaku Marg is just a short distance away, and you should see signs directing you to the temple. The walk should take about 10-15 minutes. Enjoy the local shops and eateries along the way!
