Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in Thamel, start by heading east on Tridevi Marg. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the New Road intersection. At the intersection, turn left onto New Road and walk until you reach the Ratna Park. From Ratna Park, walk across the street towards the old royal palace area. Keep walking straight for about 500 meters until you see the Nine Storey Palace on your right. The entrance is marked, and you cannot miss the large historical building.

    If you are near Durbar Square, simply walk towards the entrance of the square. As you enter Durbar Square, the Nine Storey Palace is situated at the north side of the square. You can explore the area, and the palace is hard to miss due to its grand architecture and historical significance. Make sure to walk around the square to take in the other sights.

    If you are staying in the area of Ason, start by walking towards the Ason Bazar. From Ason Bazar, head west onto the main road leading to Indra Chowk.
