If you find yourself in Thamel, a popular tourist area, start by heading south on the main street (Ason Marg). Follow this road until you reach the Ason Chowk intersection. At the intersection, take a left turn onto Ason Street. Continue straight, passing through the bustling market area. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the entrance of Kathmandu Durbar Square. From here, you can see the majestic Nau-Talle Durbar (Basantapur durbar) straight ahead. It is located at the southern end of the square.

If you are near the Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), start your journey by walking down the hill towards the main road. Upon reaching the road, take a left and walk towards the Kalanki bus station. From Kalanki, catch a local bus heading towards Ratnapark. Alight at Ratnapark and walk eastwards. Navigate through the streets towards the city center until you reach Kathmandu Durbar Square, where Nau-Talle Durbar (Basantapur durbar) is located.

If you are in Patan, you can catch a local bus from Patan Durbar Square to Kathmandu. Board the bus heading towards Ratnapark. Once you arrive at Ratnapark, exit the bus and walk east along the main road until you reach the entrance of Kathmandu Durbar Square. Nau-Talle Durbar (Basantapur durbar) is inside the square, located at the southern end.

Starting from the Boudhanath Stupa, walk towards the main road and catch a local bus heading to Chabahil. From Chabahil, catch another bus heading towards Ratnapark. Once you get off at Ratnapark, you will need to walk east towards Kathmandu Durbar Square. Nau-Talle Durbar (Basantapur durbar) will be to your right as you enter the square.
