Getting There

Hiking
From Namche Bazaar, head towards the main trail that leads to Tengboche. You will pass through the village and then ascend along a well-marked path. Follow the signs for Everest Base Camp. The trail will take you through beautiful forests and provide stunning views of the surrounding mountains. After approximately 2-3 hours of walking, you will reach the village of Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery. Take a moment to explore the monastery if you wish.

After visiting Tengboche, continue on the trail towards Dingboche. The path will descend slightly before ascending again, providing more breathtaking views. This leg of the trek typically takes about 4-5 hours. Once you reach Dingboche, you can take a break and acclimatize before continuing your journey towards Everest Base Camp.

From Dingboche, the next stop is Lobuche. The trail continues to ascend, and you will pass through a rocky terrain. Take your time as this part can be challenging due to the altitude. The hike will take around 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Lobuche, you can rest and prepare for the final leg of the trek to Everest Base Camp.

Hiking
The final stretch to Everest Base Camp begins from Lobuche. Follow the signs leading you towards Gorak Shep, a small settlement where you can stop for a quick meal. From Gorak Shep, it's approximately a 2-3 hour hike to Everest Base Camp. The path can be rocky and may require some scrambling, but the views of the Khumbu Glacier and the surrounding peaks are worth the effort. Once you reach Everest Base Camp, take time to soak in the incredible atmosphere and enjoy your achievement!
