If you are in the downtown area of Carlsbad, start by heading south on S Canal St towards W Texas St. Continue straight until you reach W Texas St, then turn left. Walk for about 0.3 miles until you reach S 1st St. Turn right onto S 1st St and continue for another 0.5 miles. Once you reach the intersection with W Lea St, turn left. Continue on W Lea St, which will turn into W Chisum St after a few blocks. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with S 8th St, then take another left. Follow S 8th St straight until you reach the local bus stop.

From the downtown area, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of W Texas St and S Canal St. Board the bus route that goes towards the Carlsbad Municipal Airport. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach the stop named 'Carlsbad Municipal Airport.' From there, you can catch a connecting bus to the beach area. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance to ensure timely transfers.
