Walking
From the center of Carlsbad, start by heading west on W Main St towards S Canyon St. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with S Canal St. Turn left onto S Canal St and keep walking straight for about 0.5 miles. You will pass by several shops and local attractions. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with W Texas St. Turn right onto W Texas St and keep walking for another 0.3 miles. You will eventually reach the intersection with S Halagueno St. Turn left onto S Halagueno St, and after a short walk, you will find yourself at the Carlsbad Museum and Art Center. From there, continue heading northwest until you reach the end of the block and turn right onto W Fox St. Keep walking until you reach the bus stop at the corner of W Fox St and S Canal St. Take the bus route that goes towards the nearest transport hub.
Public Transport
Once you are at the Carlsbad Bus Station located on 1000 W Fox St, you can catch the bus towards the local tourist attractions. Check the bus schedule for routes that head towards the Presidio Park area in San Diego. Make sure to get off at the stop nearest to the park, which is at the intersection of Jackson St and San Diego Ave. From there, it will be a short walk to the park entrance.
Bicycle
If you prefer to ride a bicycle, you can rent one from a local bike rental shop in Carlsbad. Begin your ride by heading west on W Main St towards S Canyon St. Continue straight and follow the bike lanes along W Texas St. You will need to navigate around some busy intersections, so be cautious. Once you reach S Halagueno St, turn left and follow the road until you reach the busier roads leading towards San Diego. Follow the bike paths towards the Old Town area, where you can park your bike at designated bike racks near Presidio Park.
