Car
If you are driving, head towards Caraz, which is approximately 30 km away from Huaraz. Follow the signs for Caraz on the PE-3N highway. Once you reach Caraz, take the road towards the town of Yungay. After Yungay, follow the directions to the Pitec hiking area. You will need to drive for about 12 km along a rough road until you reach the parking area at the base of the Pitec trailhead. Make sure to have a suitable vehicle for this journey as the road can be challenging in places.
