Getting There

• Car

  From Cusco city, head southeast on the Avenida de la Cultura. Follow the signs for the South Valley (Valle Sur) and continue on Route 3S towards Urcos. After approximately 35 km, reach Urcos and take the road towards the town of Checacupe. After passing through Checacupe, continue driving for about 25 km until you reach the village of Pajchanta. The Comunidad Campesina de Pacchanta is located just outside the village at the coordinates 7QJ3+5RC. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rural roads, as some parts may be unpaved and bumpy.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From the main bus terminal in Cusco, take a bus heading to Urcos, which usually departs every 30 minutes. The journey takes around 1 hour. Once you arrive at Urcos, look for a minibus or colectivo (shared taxi) heading towards Checacupe. This ride will take about 30 minutes. After reaching Checacupe, ask locals for a colectivo to Pajchanta; this ride will be approximately 40 minutes. Once in Pajchanta, walk towards the Comunidad Campesina de Pacchanta, which is near the coordinates 7QJ3+5RC.

  For a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Cusco city to Comunidad Campesina de Pacchanta. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Be prepared to negotiate the fare upfront, as prices can vary. Expect to pay around 150-200 PEN for this trip. Ensure the taxi driver is familiar with the area, as the final stretch involves rural roads.
