From Cyangugu, head east on Avenue du Lac towards the N6 highway. Continue on N6 for about 40 km until you reach the Nyungwe National Park entrance near Kitabi. Follow the signs to the park entrance, which is well-marked. Expect to pay an entrance fee of about $60 USD for foreign tourists, which can be paid at the entrance.

Take a moto-taxi or a local bus from Cyangugu to the town of Kitabi. The bus station is located near the central market. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour and costs around 1,000 Rwandan Francs (about $1 USD). Once in Kitabi, you can hire a local moto-taxi to take you to the Nyungwe National Park entrance for about 2,000 Rwandan Francs.
