If you are driving, start your journey from the Nyungwe Forest National Park main entrance, located at Gisenyi Road. Follow the signs for the park and continue along the main road until you reach the entrance gate. After entering, follow the main road and keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Igishigishigi Trail. The trailhead is approximately a 30-minute drive from the entrance. Upon arrival, there is a parking area available near the trailhead.

Public Transportation
To reach Igishigishigi Trail using public transport, first take a bus from Kigali to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Buses leave from Nyabugogo Bus Terminal in Kigali and the journey takes around 5-6 hours. Upon arriving at the park, you will need to hire a local taxi or motorbike taxi (also known as 'moto') to take you to the trailhead. The cost for a moto ride to Igishigishigi Trail may range from 5,000 to 10,000 RWF, depending on your negotiation skills and the distance from the park entrance.
