Walking
From the center of Ruhengeri, head northwest on Avenue de la Revolution towards the main road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the N4 road. Turn left onto N4 and walk approximately 3 kilometers. You will see signs for Kinigi and the Volcanoes National Park. Continue walking until you reach the entrance of the park. From there, follow the signs to Karisoke Research Camp, which is about 1.5 kilometers from the park entrance. The camp is located at GFGJ+9FR in Kinigi.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the shops in Ruhengeri. Start your journey by cycling northwest on Avenue de la Revolution. After around 2 kilometers, turn left onto N4. Continue cycling for about 3 kilometers, following the signs to Kinigi and the Volcanoes National Park. Once you reach the park entrance, follow the signs for about 1.5 kilometers to Karisoke Research Camp, located at GFGJ+9FR in Kinigi.

Motorcycle Taxi
Find a motorcycle taxi (moto) in Ruhengeri. Inform the driver that you want to go to Karisoke Research Camp in Kinigi. They will take you northwest on Avenue de la Revolution and then onto N4. The ride will take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off at the entrance of the Volcanoes National Park. From there, it is about a 1.5-kilometer walk to the camp, following the signs towards Karisoke Research Camp located at GFGJ+9FR.
