Walking
If you are starting from Edinburgh Waverley Station, exit the station and head towards the east on Market Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with High Street. Turn left onto High Street and walk until you reach the Canongate. Continue walking along Canongate for about 5 minutes, and you will find the Canongate Mercat Cross on your right, just before you reach the Scottish Parliament.

If you are starting from the Royal Mile, walk down the Royal Mile towards the Canongate. Keep going until you reach the Canongate area. The Canongate Mercat Cross will be located on your left side, just before the Scottish Parliament, within a few minutes’ walk.

If you prefer to take a bus, you can catch the Lothian Buses service number 35 or 36 from various points in the city. Get off at the 'Holyrood' stop and walk west along the Canongate for about 5 minutes. The Canongate Mercat Cross will be on your right.
