Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the city center, make your way to the East Princes Street Gardens. From there, head east towards the Scott Monument and continue along the pedestrian path until you reach the junction with North Bridge. Cross over North Bridge and continue straight onto South Bridge. At the junction with Holyrood Road, turn left. Continue walking on Holyrood Road until you reach the entrance to Holyrood Park on your right. Follow the path into the park, keeping to the right towards the loch. You will soon see St Margaret’s Loch ahead.

    From the city center, head to the nearest bus stop and take bus number 35 or 8 towards 'Tollcross.' Get off at the 'Holyrood Park' stop. From there, walk east along Holyrood Road until you enter Holyrood Park. Follow the signs pointing towards St Margaret’s Loch, which is a short walk from the entrance of the park.

    If you have access to a bike, start from the city center and head towards Holyrood Road. You can cycle along the cycle paths designated for cyclists.
