From the Mount Field National Park Visitor Centre, head south on Lake Rd towards the exit of the park. After exiting the park, turn left onto Gordon River Rd. Follow Gordon River Rd until you reach the junction with the Lyell Highway (A10). Turn right onto the Lyell Highway and continue for approximately 30 km. Look for the signs for Plenty and Salmon Ponds. Turn left onto Plenty Rd and follow it until you reach Salmon Ponds Rd. Turn right onto Salmon Ponds Rd, and after a short drive, you will arrive at Salmon Ponds, located at 70 Salmon Ponds Rd, Plenty TAS 7140.

From the Mount Field National Park Visitor Centre, you will need to walk to the nearest bus stop along Gordon River Rd. Catch the bus heading towards New Norfolk. Once you arrive at New Norfolk, transfer to a bus heading towards Plenty. Inform the driver you want to get off at the Salmon Ponds stop. After getting off at Salmon Ponds, walk along Salmon Ponds Rd, and you will reach your destination at 70 Salmon Ponds Rd, Plenty TAS 7140.
