Car
From Mount Wellington, head southeast on Huon Rd/A6 towards the town of Fern Tree. Continue on Huon Rd for about 15 kilometers. When you reach the junction with the Lyell Highway/A10, turn right onto Lyell Highway/A10. Follow this road for approximately 20 kilometers, then take the exit for National Park. Continue onto Lake Dobson Rd, and you will find Mount Field National Park at 66 Lake Dobson Rd, National Park TAS 7140. Please note that there may be a park entry fee for vehicles.

To reach Mount Field National Park using public transport, start at the nearest bus stop in Mount Wellington. Take the Metro Tasmania bus route 713 towards New Norfolk. After approximately 1 hour, disembark at the National Park stop. From there, it is a short walk to the park entrance at 66 Lake Dobson Rd. Be sure to check the Metro Tasmania website for the latest schedules and potential costs for the bus fare.
