If you're traveling by car, the most straightforward route to Mount Field National Park from Hobart (the nearest major city) is to take the Southern Outlet (A6) towards the Huon Valley. After approximately 30 minutes, take the exit onto the Brooker Highway (A1) towards Glenorchy. Continue on A1 for about 10 km, then take the exit onto the Lyell Highway (A10) towards New Norfolk. After about 20 km, turn onto the B62 towards Mount Field. Follow the B62 for approximately 30 km until you reach the entrance of Mount Field National Park, located at 66 Lake Dobson Rd, National Park TAS 7140. Parking is available at various locations within the park, but be aware that there is an entry fee of around AUD 40 per vehicle for a day pass.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Hobart (Metro Tasmania operates services). You will need to take a bus to New Norfolk, which takes around 50 minutes. Once in New Norfolk, transfer to the bus service that heads towards Mount Field National Park. Note that this service may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. The bus will drop you off at the entrance of the park, where you can pay the entry fee of around AUD 40 per vehicle (this applies if you're traveling with a group).
