Getting There

Start from the center of Praia, specifically at Praça Alexandre Almeida. From here, head north on Avenida 5 de Julho for about 15 minutes until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenida Jorge Barbosa. Continue on this road until you see the signs for Pico da Antónia. Follow the signs as the road winds upwards; it will eventually lead you to the base of the mountain. This hike is steep, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a bit of a climb!

From Praça Alexandre Almeida, walk to the nearest transport hub, which is located at the bus station on Avenida 5 de Julho. Look for a minibus (also known as 'almôndegas') that is headed towards Achada Grande. Get off at the stop that says 'Pico da Antónia'. From there, follow the local signs or ask for directions to the base of the mountain. It is a short hike from the minibus stop to the summit.
