Restaurant Tight, Copenhagen
Cosy New Nordic Bib Gourmand on a cobbled old-town street, pairing seasonal Danish ingredients with inventive textures, thoughtful wine pairings and intimate apartment charm.
Tucked into a two-storey apartment on cobbled Snaregade, one of Copenhagen’s oldest streets, **Marv & Ben** is an intimate New Nordic restaurant with a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Here, seasonal Danish ingredients from small producers are transformed into finely crafted four- and six-course menus, alongside à la carte plates, with an emphasis on organic produce and thoughtful textures. A dark, cosy dining room, open kitchen and serious yet playful wine list round out one of the city centre’s most appealing modern Danish tables.
Opening times, essentials, and a few local tips gathered into one calmer, easier-to-scan planning section.
Metro
From central Copenhagen, the most convenient option is the metro. Kongens Nytorv Station on lines M1, M2, M3 and M4 is the closest major stop, typically 3–8 minutes from other inner-city stations. A single zone ticket within the city centre usually costs around 20–30 DKK and metros run every few minutes from early morning until late night. From the station area it is a short, level walk through the old town to reach Snaregade, though the final stretch is cobbled and may feel uneven for wheelchairs or strollers.
Bus
Several city bus routes run through the inner city and along nearby thoroughfares, providing an alternative to the metro if you are already in Copenhagen’s central districts. Typical journey times within the centre range from 10–20 minutes depending on traffic and starting point. Standard bus tickets cost roughly 20–30 DKK for a short inner-city ride and can be bought via ticket machines or mobile apps. Most buses have low-floor access, but you should expect a short walk on uneven cobblestones from the nearest main stop to the restaurant.
Bicycle
Cycling is often the quickest way to reach Snaregade from nearby neighbourhoods such as Vesterbro, Nørrebro or Østerbro, with journeys typically taking 10–20 minutes along Copenhagen’s extensive bike lanes. You can rent city bikes or standard bicycles from numerous rental points for roughly 100–200 DKK per day, with hourly options also available. Bicycles must be left on nearby streets or at marked racks, as Snaregade itself is narrow; be prepared to walk the last stretch over cobblestones.
Taxi / Rideshare
Taxis are readily available across central Copenhagen and offer a comfortable way to arrive dressed for dinner. From most central hotels, the ride to Snaregade is usually 5–15 minutes, depending on traffic and one-way systems. Expect fares in the region of 80–180 DKK for typical inner-city journeys, with higher prices late at night or in bad weather. Taxis can drop you close to the top or bottom of Snaregade, but the narrow cobbled street means you will walk a short distance to the door.
