If you are driving from Quito, take the Pan-American Highway (E28) south towards Latacunga. After approximately 60 km, take the exit towards the E35 road, which will lead you to the town of Sangolquí. Continue on this road for about 30 km until you reach the town of El Chaupi. From El Chaupi, follow the signs towards La Caldera (Cóndor Machay). The last stretch is on an unpaved road, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain.

To reach La Caldera (Cóndor Machay) using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Quito to Sangolquí. Buses leave regularly from the Quitumbe bus terminal. Once in Sangolquí, transfer to a bus heading to El Chaupi. After arriving in El Chaupi, you may need to hire a local taxi or arrange a ride with a local guide to take you the remaining distance to La Caldera, as public buses do not travel the unpaved road directly to the attraction.
