Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Osaka, take the Hanshin Expressway (Route 4) towards Nara. Follow the signs for Nara and merge onto Route 24. Continue on Route 24 until you reach Nara city. Once in Nara, follow signs for Nara Park. The Nara Park Management Office is located at 543 Shibatsujicho, Nara, 630-8114. There is parking available nearby, but note that parking fees may apply, typically around ¥500-¥1000 per day depending on the lot.

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to Nara Station. This journey takes about 45 minutes and costs around ¥720. Upon arrival at Nara Station, exit the station and head towards the main road. You can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or catch a bus from Nara Station. If you choose to walk, head south on Sanjo Street until you reach the Nara Park entrance.
