If you are near Nara Park, walk towards the Nara National Museum. From the museum, head south, following the road that leads directly to the Todai-ji Temple complex. Take a bus from Nara Station (Nara City Loop Bus or any bus heading towards Todai-ji). Get off at the Todai-ji Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall) stop, which is the closest stop to Todai-ji. From there, walk towards the Grand South Gate (Namdaimon) by following the signs that lead into the Todai-ji Temple grounds.
