Walking
If you are starting from Nara Park, head towards the main entrance of the park. Once you enter, you will see signs directing you to Todai-ji Daibutsuden. Follow the path through the park, enjoying the scenery and the friendly deer that roam freely. After about 10-15 minutes, you will arrive at the large wooden gate called Nandaimon (Great South Gate). Pass through this gate and continue straight. The Daibutsuden will be visible ahead. After another 5 minutes of walking, you will reach the majestic Todai-ji Daibutsuden.

Public Transport
If you are near Nara Station, take the Nara City Loop Bus (Nara Kotsu) and board the bus heading towards 'Daibutsuden' or 'Todai-ji Daibutsuden'. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Todai-ji Daibutsuden bus stop. From there, follow the signs leading you to the Great Buddha Hall, which is just a short walk away.

Bicycle Rental
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle near Nara Station. Once you have your bike, head towards Nara Park. The route is straightforward: cycle through the park, following the signs to Todai-ji Daibutsuden. The cycling path is well maintained, and it should take you about 10 minutes to reach the Great Buddha Hall from Nara Park. Remember to park your bicycle in the designated areas near the temple.
