Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Nara Park, head towards the main entrance of the park. Once you enter, you will see signs directing you to Todai-ji Daibutsuden. Follow the path through the park, enjoying the scenery and the friendly deer that roam freely. After about 10-15 minutes, you will arrive at the large wooden gate called Nandaimon (Great South Gate). Pass through this gate and continue straight. The Daibutsuden will be visible ahead. After another 5 minutes of walking, you will reach the majestic Todai-ji Daibutsuden.
