Walking
If you are starting from Nara Park, head south towards the Nara National Museum. Once you reach the museum, continue walking straight until you see the entrance to Nara Park on your right. Keep walking straight through the park, and you will eventually see a large wooden gate, this is the Nandaimon Gate. From the Nandaimon Gate, continue straight for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the Todaiji Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall) located at 406-1 Zoshicho, Nara, 630-8587.

If you are near Nara Station, take the bus route number 97 or 70 towards 'Daibutsuden Kasuga-taisha'. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Daibutsuden' bus stop.
