Car
If you are driving, start from central Kyoto and take the Karasuma Expressway (Route 1) towards the south. After about 10 km, take the exit towards Sennyuji. Continue on Sennyuji Yamanouchicho road for about 2 kilometers. You'll see signs for Kaikō-ji Temple; the temple will be on your right. Parking is available nearby, but there may be a small fee, so be prepared with some cash.

Public Transportation
Begin your journey at Kyoto Station and take the JR Nara Line to Tofuku-ji Station. This journey takes approximately 5 minutes. From Tofuku-ji Station, exit and transfer to the Kyoto City Bus number 202 or 207. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the Sennyuji-michi bus stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Kaikō-ji Temple. Look for signs directing you to the temple along the way.

If you're already in the vicinity of Sennyuji, you can simply walk to Kaikō-ji Temple. The temple is located at Sennyuji Yamanouchicho, which is about a 15-minute walk from the Sennyuji area. Follow the path along the main road, and keep an eye out for signs. The temple is well-marked and easily accessible on foot.
