If you are driving, begin your journey by heading south on Route 1 towards the city center. Continue for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Sanjo-dori. Turn left onto Sanjo-dori and continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Higashiyama Ward. Once you reach the intersection with Shijo-dori, turn right and continue straight. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Komatsucho. Kenninji Ryosokuin will be on your left at 591 Komatsucho.

To get to Kenninji Ryosokuin using public transportation, start by finding the nearest bus stop. Board bus number 100 or 206 and ride it towards Kyoto Station. Get off at the 'Gion' bus stop, which takes about 20 minutes. From there, walk towards the intersection of Shijo-dori and Hanamikoji Street. Head east on Shijo-dori for about 600 meters and turn left onto Komatsucho. Continue walking straight for about 200 meters, and you will find Kenninji Ryosokuin at 591 Komatsucho.
