Car
From Kyoto Station, take Route 1 and continue for approximately 3.5 km. You will pass by the Kyoto Tower and several local shops. After about 10 minutes, turn left onto Shijo Avenue (Route 162). Continue straight for another 1.5 km until you reach the intersection at Karasuma. Turn right onto Karasuma Street, and after 1 km, you will find the Cultural Museum of Kyoto on your left at 623-1 Higashikatamachi.

From Kyoto Station, board the Karasuma Line subway towards Kokusaikaikan. Travel for 3 stops and get off at Karasuma Oike Station. Transfer to the Tozai Line and head towards Uzumasa Tenjingawa. After 2 stops, get off at Nijojo-mae Station. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk: exit the station, head south on Karasuma Street, turn left onto Shijo Avenue, and finally turn right onto Higashikatamachi. The Cultural Museum of Kyoto will be on your right at 623-1 Higashikatamachi.
