Getting There

  • Public Transport - Subway

    If you are starting from Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line (green line) towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Shijo Station (about 5 stations, 10 minutes). From Shijo Station, transfer to the Hankyu Kyoto Line and take a train towards Kawaramachi. After one stop, get off at Kawaramachi Station. Exit the station and head east on Shijo Street until you reach the Kamo River. From there, walk north along the river for about 15 minutes until you reach Gyojabashi Bridge, which will be on your left.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From Kyoto Station, take Bus 100 or 205 from the bus terminal (located just outside the station). Get off at the 'Gion' stop (about 20 minutes).
