Getting There

Train
From Nara Station, take the JR Yamatoji Line towards Kyoto Station. This train runs frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. Ride for about 45 minutes and get off at the Fushimi-Inari Station. Once you exit the station, head towards the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. From there, you can either walk or take a local bus to reach Gekkeikan Ōkura Sake Museum, which is about a 15-minute walk away.

Bus
From Nara Park, find the Nara Kotsu Bus Stop and take the bus bound for Kyoto. Make sure to check the bus route for the recommended bus, such as the 'Nara to Kyoto' line. After approximately a 50-minute ride, get off at the Fushimi Ward stop. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Gekkeikan Ōkura Sake Museum. Follow the signs towards Minamihamacho and you will reach your destination.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to explore, you can walk from Nara to Kyoto. This is a long walk of about 40 kilometers, taking approximately 8 to 10 hours. Start from Nara Park, head towards the main road leading to Kyoto (Route 163). Follow the road signs directing you towards Kyoto. Once you reach the Fushimi area, look for the signs to Minamihamacho, where the museum is located.
