From Osaka Station, take the JR Shinano Express train bound for Matsumoto. The journey takes approximately 3 hours. Make sure to check the train schedule as there may be limited services, especially during off-peak hours.

Arrive at Matsumoto Station. From here, transfer to the Matsumoto Electric Railway (Alpico) Limited Express bound for Kamikōchi. This train will take you to the 'Shinjuku' station. The train ride takes about 30 minutes.

At 'Shinjuku' station, you will find the bus terminal. Board the Kamikōchi bus, which is the only mode of transportation to reach Kamikōchi. The bus ride takes around 1 hour and will take you directly to the entrance of Kamikōchi.
