From Hida, take Route 158 towards Takayama. Once you reach Takayama, follow the signs for Route 471 which leads towards Okuhida Onsen. Continue on Route 471 for approximately 30 kilometers. You will see signs for Okuhida Onsen Shin-Hotaka Onsen Town. The destination will be on your right at 400-1 Okuhida Onsengo Kansaka, Takayama, Gifu 506-1421. Note that parking is available at the onsen.

From Hida, take a train to Takayama Station. From Takayama Station, you can board a bus heading towards Okuhida Onsen. The bus ride takes about 50 minutes. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited, especially during off-peak seasons. The bus will drop you off near the onsen town, and from there it's a short walk to Okuhida Onsen Shin-Hotaka Onsen Town located at 400-1 Okuhida Onsengo Kansaka, Takayama, Gifu 506-1421. The bus fare is typically around 1,000 yen.
