Getting There

  • Car

    From central Settsu, head east on Route 1 towards Osaka. Merge onto the Meishin Expressway and continue for about 10 km. Take the exit for Kyoto and follow signs for Route 1. Once in Kyoto, take the exit towards Sakyo Ward. Follow the signs for Nanzenji, and you will find parking areas near the temple. Be aware that parking fees may apply, typically around 500-1000 yen.

    Begin your journey at Settsu Station. Take the JR Takarazuka Line towards Osaka and transfer at Osaka Station to the JR Kyoto Line. From there, board a train bound for Kyoto Station. Once you arrive at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Subway Line and take the train towards Kokusai Kaikan. Get off at the Higashiyama Station. Exit the station and walk approximately 15 minutes to reach Nanzenji Hatto. Be prepared to pay around 600-700 yen for the train fare.
