Getting There

Hiking from Many Glacier Area
If you are starting from the Many Glacier area, head south on the Grinnell Lake Trail. Follow the signs directing you toward Grinnell Glacier. After about 2.5 miles, you will reach the junction. Take a right to continue toward the Sun Point Nature Trail. Continue for an additional mile until you reach the junction for Sun Point. Follow the signs toward Sun Point Nature Trail, which will lead you to the trailhead.

Hiking from Logan Pass
From Logan Pass, take the Highline Trail heading south. Follow this trail until you reach the point where it splits. Take the left fork toward the Swiftcurrent Pass Trail. Hike for about 3 miles until you reach the junction for the Sun Point Nature Trail. Turn left at this junction, and you will arrive at the Sun Point Nature Trail.

Hiking from St. Mary Visitor Center
Starting at the St. Mary Visitor Center, head west along the St. Mary Lake Trail. The trail runs parallel to the lake and offers stunning views. After about 2 miles, you will see a sign for the Sun Point Nature Trail. Follow this sign, and the trail will lead you directly to the Sun Point Nature Trailhead.
