Hiking
From the Apgar Visitor Center, head northeast on the main park road (Going-to-the-Sun Road). Follow the signs for the Trail of the Cedars Nature Trailhead. The trailhead is approximately 3.5 miles away. You will pass through dense forests and may catch glimpses of stunning views as you trek. Once you reach the trailhead, you will find a parking area and information about the trail.
Public Transportation
If you are at the West Glacier station, take the park shuttle service that operates during the summer months. Board the shuttle heading towards the Avalanche Creek area. The Trail of the Cedars stop is along the route, and the driver will announce the stop. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance to plan your visit.
Bicycling
If you are renting a bicycle, start from the Apgar Visitor Center. Ride east on the paved bike path that runs parallel to the Going-to-the-Sun Road. This route is approximately 3.5 miles. The path is relatively flat and suitable for all skill levels. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the way. Upon reaching the Trail of the Cedars Nature Trailhead, you will find bike racks for secure parking.
