Start at Many Glacier Campground. From the campground, follow the signs to the Grinnell Glacier trailhead. The trail begins at the end of the parking area and is well-marked. The hike to Grinnell Glacier is approximately 7 miles one way and can be strenuous. The trail will take you through beautiful landscapes, including wildflower meadows and stunning views of Swiftcurrent Lake. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. After hiking about 3 miles, you will reach a junction; continue straight to stay on the Grinnell Glacier trail. Follow the trail as it ascends and leads you to Grinnell Lake, where you can take a break and enjoy the views. Continue on the trail for another mile to reach Grinnell Glacier, which will be visible as you approach. The hike typically takes 4-6 hours one way, so plan accordingly.

Hiking from Swiftcurrent Motor Inn
Begin your hike at Swiftcurrent Motor Inn, located near Many Glacier. From the inn, walk towards the Grinnell Glacier trailhead, which is accessible from the back of the inn. The hike is about 7 miles to the glacier. Follow the well-marked trail that leads through scenic landscapes. After approximately 3 miles, you'll arrive at the junction; stay to the left to continue on the Grinnell Glacier trail. The trail offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lakes.
