The trail is well-marked and starts at the end of the Many Glacier Road. Follow the trail for about 1.5 miles, which will take you through beautiful scenery, crossing streams, and providing stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the way. After approximately 1.5 miles, you will reach a fork in the trail. Take the left fork towards Grinnell Lake. Continue on this path for another 1.5 miles until you reach Grinnell Lake. The total round trip from the trailhead to Grinnell Lake is about 3 miles, and it typically takes 2 to 3 hours to complete depending on your pace and stops.

    If you are not up for the hike, consider using the park's shuttle services. From the Apgar Visitor Center or other locations in the park where shuttles operate, take the shuttle to the Many Glacier area. Once you arrive at the Many Glacier Hotel, you can either hike the Grinnell Glacier Trail as described above or enjoy the views of Grinnell Lake from the hotel area. The shuttle service runs during the peak season, so be sure to check the schedule in advance to plan your trip. After enjoying Grinnell Lake, you can return to the shuttle stop for your ride back.
